Back in Office for 2020 - UPDATES!

We are happy to say we are back in the office and will address your emails over the week. Please bare with us if we take a little bit to get back to you as we are in catch-up mode.

Hope you had a restful holiday! We are receiving some availabilities from talent but please note it may be on the slower side for the next few weeks while we wait for all these projects to go to camera and get back in work mode with big days etc.

With that being said, it’s looking to be a VERY busy year so the wait will definitely be worth it :)

SCT MESSAGE BOARD

We will now be posting all Updates/New Features on our website and letting you know when we do.
This way it is easy for you to come back to without having to search your emails.

ACCOUNTING EMAILS

If you have a SEPARATE/different email that you would like your e-transfers and/or receipts sent to, please let us know ASAP. We will be logging these in your profile and using them for all accounting purposes going forward.

COMMISSION INVOICES

Going forward we will ALWAYS be sending out an INVOICE once we receive your stub/vouchers. Irregardless of whether you’ve already sent the e-transfer.
This is to ensure the amount is correct. 
(eg. If you send an e-transfer but then get an invoice for a different amount then please cancel the e-transfer and resend)

We suggest WAITING for the INVOICE to be sent to you before sending your e-transfer.

If you EVER need a reminder please do not text or call.

Our website now has a page for you to find out PAYROLL EMAILS (where you send BG residency docs) for each show you work on :) YAY!

ACTRA E-TRANSFERS: 

(send to accounting@showcatcher.ca)

When sending e-transfers ALWAYS write what Show, Date, & SUBTOTAL you are sending for in the E-transfer NOTES section. Don’t forget to send your CLEAR, LEGIBLE pay stub & work-day voucher at the same time (right before/after). 

E-transfers without proper paperwork can not be accepted.

*WE PREFER you send your pay stub & voucher only, so we can THEN invoice you.

PICTURES:

If you have any BG HOLDING photos, Costume photos, or on-set photos (NOT ALLOWED but sometimes exceptions are made) please send them to contact@showcatcher.ca so we can potentially post them on our Social Media. 

(We will not post unreleased pictures until that appropriate episode/movie airs)

Please note, we do not ‘Tag’ (@ or #) personal Instagram accounts/names due to Privacy reasons but if you REALLY WANT to be tagged, please mention that when you send your photos.

*Only send photos if you are comfortable with us posting them eventually

TRACK WORK:

Due to potential issues that happen with payroll departments it is best that you track your days & hours worked.

We suggest you take a picture of your voucher receipt at the end of your work-day and keep all vouchers together in a file folder etc.

NOT USED?:

Please let us know if you are NOT USED on set at all during your work-day. (Meaning you do not leave holding to go to set and are not used on camera)

By knowing this we know we can send you to that same set again regardless of role :)

Please read our few additions/adjustments to our Operational Guidelines.

COMMISSIONS

ALL ACTRA Members please send your work-day VOUCHER and PAY STUBS to accounting@showcatcher.ca. They MUST be Full size and CLEAR to read.

If it is your first time paying commission or if you are not confident calculating the commission on your own…

Please send us your vouchers and pay stubs so we can tell you how much you owe along with a small breakdown.

If you would like to send your e-transfer right away without waiting for our breakdown please use our new COMMISSION CALCULATOR on our website.

How to use:

  1. Enter SUB TOTAL Gross Pay

  2. Select your Union Status, etc.

  3. Copy/View the TOTAL OWED to SCT.

Please remember: We ALWAYS calculate commission off of the SUB TOTAL Gross Pay shown on the pay stub attached to the cheque. See the attachment for an example.

Commission Percentage:

NON-UNION/AABP, 10% + tax

ACTRA, 10% + tax

APPRENTICE, 12% + tax

As of July 15th:

SENIORS DISCOUNT (60+ years old), 8% + tax

E-transfer Password will/should ALWAYS be: sctabg

(That password stands for “show catcher talent agency background”)

It is MANDATORY all Non-Union/AABP cheques come to us.

On your voucher please put the following:

CANCELLATIONS

Due to the busy season and high volume of you who cancel less than 8 hours before your call time…

Cancelling 8hrs or less before your call time will be charged as a NO-SHOW fee unless significant proof or doctor’s note is provided.

NOT BOOKED

When we ask your availability please allow us AT LEAST 2 hours to get back to you whether it’s waiting for choices/approval from casting or if we have multiple orders going at the same time, we need time to organize and sort through emails.

But always remember, if you do not get a “YOU ARE BOOKED” email, that means you are NOT BOOKED.

We send out “not booked” emails so you don’t have to wait around for hours/days for an answer but sometimes technology doesn’t work in our favour and some people get missed unfortunately.

CHEQUES

Cheques take about 2 weeks to arrive but due to the high volume of cheques, the busy season, and long weekends, sometimes there is a delay.

TRANSPORTATION

Because of summer’s heavy construction please give yourself ample time to get to work/shuttles.
